I get the 'Page cannot be found' thing. And I'm not exactly 'internet savvy' so... yeah. Big words of the internet kind aren't exactly my friends.

theres no password for the IRC server.
the only password there is if you have a registered nickname, and considering you haven't connected to the server yet you won't have one anyway.

Gem, it appears you are trying to connect using Pink's Java web client. As this thread's current title says, that Java client is down for the time being. If you're still looking to connect through your web browser to Pink's IRC server (or any other IRC server for that matter), use the client below: ircatwork.com/Server: irc.anbraxas.net Channel: #yc You can also use a downloadable client such as mIRC or X-Chat.

The server hosting the Java client will be going offline shortly. Just need to do some maintenance on it because VMWare Server is acting strange.
Back up ~2 hours from this post.

It is just me or is the server down for anyone else? I've been getting this for a while now:
--- Looking up irc.anbraxas.net.. --- Connecting to irc.anbraxas.net (---.---.---.---) port 9999.. --- Connection failed. Error: Connection timed out

In mIRC, I typically get this error:
So yeah, I think we have a stability issue with the server.

Doesn't affect the board, but affects the chat room for those that use the Java client to connect.
To start Tuesday 1st January at 4pm and last right the way through to 10pm. Those that use the Java Client, please prepare alternative methods of connecting before the maintainence.

Note to anybody who didn't get last nights /global message.
irc.fractalcast-networks.net and rr.fractalcast-networks.net are the new IRC server addresses.
irc.anbraxas.net no longer works.
Make sure to update your server lists!

Just did, but I'm getting this every time.
Yes, I've double checked spelling.

try using rr.fractalcast-networks.net instead, some other people have had issues with the irc.* address.
If anything I'd guess it might be a DNS issue, and irc.* should start working eventually, but Pink will know more aboutthat than I do.

It seems as if this is happening on a regular basis. The server keeps crashing in the middle of the night for me and usually stays crashed for extended periods. It's gone on like this for three nights in a row and I'm starting to get complaints and stuff.
I hope you get this resolved soon, PFY. What's going on over there?

Aye, it's been doing that for me too. Perhaps we need to set up some MSN chats or something, until it gets resolved? I'm not opposed to using AIM or ICQ either. Or Yahoo.

The router keeps bumping me off then not reconnecting. It's stupid because it happens smack bang right in the middle of the night while I'm asleep. It's doing my head in as much as it is yours, trust me on that one.
I'll bring de1 up today so there is a little redundancy at least so if this one does go down then people can still connect.

So is anyone else not able to connect to the server or is it just a problem I'm having?
I've not been able to connect for about 9 hours now.

Deleted my last post.
Right, this weekend I'll be going offline. It'll mean quite a few hours. Reason is for a total renovation of my room and as the server is in my room it can't stay there while I move stuff around. Will post when the server comes back up again.
