Right, so, is the chat down for anyone else? If so, any ETA on when it'll be back?

It worked the first couple times, but now every time I try to connect I get the message "Connection failed! java.net.ConnectionException: Connection Timed out: connect". Any ideas?

Having minimal experience of the Java client, I'm not really sure what would be causing that error. If you're able, I'd definately recommend using a proper IRC client to connect to the server instead, like Xchat or mIRC.

Alright, I have been trying to connect for months. Am I retarded that I can't figure it out? I always end up on an error page.

When you say "error page" I'm assuming you're using the Java client?
No idea whats going on with that, but for a guess, it might be related to the anbraxas.net domain expiring a while ago. Considering I don't know if theres a new javachat yet, your best bet for now is to use a real IRC client.

I'm using Leafchat 2.1, which is a java client. I'll try mIRC though.

mIRC and Xchat appear to be the most popular choices. Though if you do choose to get X-chat be sure to get it from This location, Sliverex.org

Ok, I'm still having trouble with the mIRC client. I get a similar message:
"* Connection to irc.fractalcast-networks.net (6667) - * Unable to connect to server (Connection timed out)"
/ =
I'll try again tomorrow.

What client are you using and what error messages (if any) do you get?

not really getting any error messages at all, just that my browser won't connect. I've tried Safari, Firefox, Internet Explorer....and yet, nothing

I'm assuming you're using Java then, have you had any luck using mIRC or XChat?
OK never mind, looks like there's no working Javachat for now anyway. According to Pink it'll be back "soon", but for now I'd try using a real client.

heheh, wow....just realized my stupidity...yay for staying up late after work... Alright, I'll just hang tight for now. I don't really want to download anything on my laptop, so I'll either wait till I get home or wait for PinkFloyd to work it out.

Yeah, sorry. I'll get it up after I get up tomorrow. Nothing planned for this weekend, so it's a good opportunity to get stuff done.
...Thats if my hay fever hasn't completely decimated my nose and throat by that time. :s

For those of you that can't or won't download a client, javachat now works again.

Is this just happening for me or is the server down for anybody else?
