If pokemon and yoshis were fighting against eachother, who do you think would win?

Maybe, Loco, but Yoshis might not be able to swallow, say, a Wailord or something. Not even an Onix. They be too big for Yoshis to eat! Thus, some Pokémon can lay the smackdown on Yoshis.

Yoshis, hands down. Enough said.

Heh, Yoshi would just swallow small portions of Onix at a tme, then spit them out and BAM! He's split and all over the floor. XD

Yoshis. Even against the good Pokémon. They would find interesting ways to win.

Heh, Yoshi would just swallow small portions of Onix at a tme, then spit them out and BAM! He's split and all over the floor. XD I...really don't think that's how Onix works. I think it's all connected like a normal snake would be. Besides, that's a bit morbid. Yoshis. Even against the good Pokémon. They would find interesting ways to win. And what if they go up against a highly skilled Mewtwo, huh?! ... ... ...Yeah, that's what I thought! And what about the extra-tricky Ghost Pokémon? Well?!! Really, the only Yoshis that'd stand much of a chance against them would be us fan Yoshis. 'Nuff said.

pokemon! so much viritey of different powers to choose from, so many, even though yoshis are cool in ways, a stampede of 387(how many pokemon there are in the known pokedex.) pokemon could overcome them.

Easy for the MewTwo thing. Shadow (my Shadow) would beat him easy. And Moltres? Boshi (my version) would wash him away. Articuno doesn't stand a chance against Donshi. Lugia...wow now that pokemon is pretty powerful. My yoshies' parents would take him down like that I guess. Lazoshi should come up with a clever short like he did for my poll on "who would when in an all out dark melee" topic.

Uhh, yeah, those are FAN Yoshis, [Ice]. Like I said, those are the only Yoshis that can actually beat the best Pokémon.

Yoshi can swallow things that are like 10 times his size! In the ssbm he swallows that giant yoshi!

I wasn't trying to be morbid. XD.
Yoshi's mouth, eggs, determination, and cleverness would get a herd of them through any obstacle. Even if Pikachu zapped him, no one has died by getting shocked by it. Neither would Yoshi, then. Lugia and Mewtwo would be all like, "World Peace, dude! Never fight, even though that's what we're made for!" Yoshis would them overrun them and trample them into the earth, and all the little Pokemon would be left to fend for themselves against the still-huge Yoshi herd.
That's probably what would happen, anyways. ^_~

And besides, Yoshis, by nature, would probably be more diplomatic. If there was any determination toward physical conflict, however, the Yoshis have a wider range of physical abilities over individual Pokémon. They would always have some sort of attack to exploit the Pokémon, and if an attack fails, they can probably find another skill to use instead; while if this happened to a Pokémon, they wouldn't have much flexibility to administer an efficient attack.

Yoshi can swallow things that are like 10 times his size! In the ssbm he swallows that giant yoshi! Technically, that was 4-6 times Yoshi's size. Unless it's the Pokémon TV show, in which they're as flexible as ever. Now I'm not trying to pick sides here, but I'm just saying that both Pokémon and Yoshis can whip each other good.

still - one pokemon swallowed or whatever leaves another counter type behind it. face it- yoshis cant stand forever, im not saying pokemon cant either. but still, theres not that much a yoshi can do to the virety of different attacks of a pokemon - atleast 10 different attacks most pokemon can learn! (disincluding tm's and hm's) and most of the attacks have dual type elements and effects! what can a yoshi do? swallow, spit seeds, breath fire, fly, ground pound? i dont know, pokemon have such a virety. this is probably because that they arent specific - they are unique while yoshi is pretty much same except for color (unless you put it in smw terms, but thats very limited.)

yoshis eggs are very easy to break, and what about all the psycic and flying pokemon? metranome and barriers? then, pokemon have even more of a ranged attack with lets say flame thrower and water gun, or electrical shocks from above! (thunder)
plus, pokemon ALSO know attacks like recover, and soft boiled so even if they do take a hard hitting, they can always heal.
