Well, I think more people today like Yoshi's over Pokemon. The Yoshi's could start a rebelion resulting in a war of Yoshi's with humans against pokemon. We would win. After all, humans have nukes...
Is this an interesting concept?

I forgot to pause and now I have 11 lives,pichu has 20,and pikachu has 13!o well I can still win though.*Pauses the game*Ummm.....where did the Humans come from?!?!Anyways,your right!Humans have all sorts of wepons.Although,I don't know how a human,a Yoshi,and a pokemon could end up fighting....

Is this an interesting concept? not really - i dont see yoshi on adds as much as i see pokemon. pokemon kinda became sorta another nintendo logo - pikachu atleast. i have to say this again - this thread cant be determained by a super smash battle. if you create many totaments with just using pokemon and yoshi, you will just get a random result every time. this dosent prove anything, does it? |

1: This is JUST Yoshis and Pokémon. No other type of species is allowed to enter combat with these two in here.
2: SSBM shouldn't qualify for debate here. For one, the four playable Pokémon have some bad handicaps slapped on them, mostly Mewtwo.
3: Let's assume that both know all their abilities.
4: It really depends on what Pokémon the Yoshis are up against. And don't forget that Yoshis don't naturally have elemental powers just on their own.
5: If the Yoshis swallowed a trainer's Pokémon, what would the trainer say?

Why put the two things I despertly love agenst each other. I am on both sides even though I am leaning twords pokemon because yoshi has accually 4 pokemon powers in my opinion. Egg bomb, bullet seed, fly and pound.^^ Egg bomb may be powerful, but veary inaccuate, not to mention flamethrower is more powerful even, and pound is a terribly weak move, bullet seed is really week too, fly is annoying but another flying type can take them down. Oh, it is so hard to choose. EDIT: Now I know, KUROGI WILL WIN!!!! Kurogi rulez you all! EDIT2: 5: If the Yoshis swallowed a trainer's Pokémon, what would the trainer say? I would conclude that indeed Pokemon would win. They would win ONLY because they have super powers. If only Yoshi's had rivaling powers...

exactly my point hero. this wasnt a very good match to begin with because yoshi is very plain and limited, even in large groops their easy to evade.

an army weak against many is a weak army
example,water pokemon casts surf,all fire,rock and yoshi's would hit the effect so pokemon could be the end of them selves,yoshi's don't have attacks like that but you need to think about other things besides attacks

yoshi and pokemon are not invinceble,you guys say that pokemon are pretty much saying pokemon are like gods. yoshi is a dragon/dino hybrid,pokemon are just various animals given bizzare attacks. I accept that pokemon fans will want pokemon to win, I can't accept why you say they will win. attacks,stats, and size are nothing to a smart opponent ,and that is exactly what yoshi is. If you can give me a full strategy on how pokemon can win, I'll shut up. deal

THE ONLY YOSHIS WITH NATURALLY-GOTTEN SPECIAL POWERS ARE US FAN YOSHIS.
THERE ARE SOME POKÉMON THAT CAN'T BE SWALLOWED IN THE FIRST PLACE, LIKE THE SUPER-BIG GYARADOS.
THERE'S A BIGGER VARIETY OF POKÉMON OUT THERE THAN YOSHIS, UNLESS YOU THROW US INTO THE DISCUSSION IN OUR YOSHI FORMS.

Maybe SSBM shouldn't qualify, 'cuz the characters in there have WAY more abilities than what they show in SSBM. And it's not like Yoshi is able to gulp that huge Chomp that would devour the path in front of him.
Let's just say that SSBM stretches the logic of the games.
