OI...
This is getting to be a pain. Stop comparing the two, outcomes can be ENORMOUSLY DIFFERENT...and besides, they will most likely NEVER face each other EXCEPT in Super Smash Brothers games. These are all guesses and are not valid arguments...now can we please stop arguing?

Teo is right.
In order for this to be a valid experiment, we would need materials, such as the subjects (Yoshis and Pokémon) involved. We already have many hypotheses. However, they would stay only as hypotheses since neither Yoshis nor Pokémon even exist; thus, we cannot have a valid experiment, and all of the data "collected" anyway would just be simulated, losing its accuracy.
And besides, if Yoshis and Pokémon were existent, there would be animal rights people coming at our door in we performed the experiment, and nothing would get accomplished because of fines and/or other punishments that wouldn't allow for the experiment to take place.
All we can generate is hypotheses now. There's no way to accurately know who would win. I am done discussing in this topic.

Yoshi > Caterpie Bah. Unless Caterpie was really good with the String Shot (like in the show).
Yoshi > Metapod More than likely, I guess.
Yoshi = Butterfree Yoshi could gulp Butterfree, but Butterfree can stun or poison Yoshi.
Yoshi > Weedle Need I say more?
Yoshi > Kakuna Just like Metapod.
Yoshi = Beedrill Yoshi could gulp Beedrill, but it can be pretty dodgy and can poison pretty well.

Ah, that must be Super Mario Story! I knew before I clicked, heheheh. When's the next part comin' out anyway? But anyways...
Yoshi > Rattatta Bah, lil' Rattatta don't stand a chance with its regular moves.
Yoshi = Raticate Now, super-gulping vs. extreme brute force is pretty even in my opinion.
Yoshi > Spearow Man, don't get me started. Spearow may be agressive and fast, but it lacks a bit of strength still. And it doesn't fly high enough.
Yoshi = Fearow Now Fearow's stronger here, so it pretty much equaled out.
Yoshi = Ekans Well, Yoshi COULD, once again, swallow Ekans, if Ekans doesn't strangle Yoshi, of course.
Yoshi = Arbok Once again, more than likely equal.

If only Nintendo created a Yoshi game similar to DragonBall Z... now THAT would be awesome! If the Yoshi's were evenly matched with the Pokemon, then this thread would be settled. If Yoshi's could have the same powers as pokemon, who would win? Oh well... ;D

Yoshi = Pikachu Lest Yoshi gulps Pikachu fast, s/he could get fried.
Yoshi < Raichu With that much electrical power, it could be no contest.
Yoshi > Sandshrew Bah, Sandshrew hasn't the right moves to stop Yoshi.
Yoshi > Sandslash Once again, Sandslash is no better than Yoshi. It may be spiky, but Yoshi can deal with that.

Yoshi > Nidoran F/M These little rabbit thingies wouldn't stand much of a chance against Yoshi, comparing size and power.
Yoshi = Nidorina/Nidorino Since these two are at a slightly higher competitive level, they can be almost-tight equals with Yoshi.
Yoshi < Nidoqueen/Nidoking Not to favor Pokémon in this case, but these two are very versatile and can do an array of skills to wipe out Yoshi.

Yeah, this topic is really old, and you're not allowed to post in old topics, and you doubleposted, and that's worse, and this topic's just rambling on lamely, everyone ignored my argument-stopping post that Yoshi is indestructable and cannot be defeated (save baby Yoshies, from Yoshi's Story)... So...I guess I'll ask a Mod for lockage.
