becareful when you use the word always, yoshifrog. it could come to haunt you.
if pokemon games are turn baised, then we need to put yoshi in turned base instances. vice versa. plus, i was talking about pokemon dodging yoshi, not yoshi dodging pokemon. pokemon also arent imperfect, and yoshi can have a weakness. get this through your skull before we start arguing, ok?
again i bring this up - both are made by nintendo, and i really dont see a reason for this.

Well, my brother broke the game, so I can't play it anymore anyway.

If yoshi where in a turned based battle system.....then pokemon just might have a chance.

if pokemon where real time action, then they definatly have a chance.

Not really, RTA(real time action) and TBS(turn based system) are two diffrent things. In RTA yoshi has the advantage because yoshi has a higher speed and beyond higher jumps then pokemon. IN TBS pokemon have a slight edge because dodgeing and hitting are random and less likely to miss. Also keep in mind yoshi has fought a larger variaty of enemies where as pokemon have only fought their kind. Yoshi has a weakness but not as much limitations. I should point out that this topic is useless considering yoshi fans would say yoshi would win,and poket monster(the japanese name for pokemon) fans would say pokemon would win. (95% people are yoshi fans and 5% are both fans, for no here likes just pokemon,if anyone cares)

If they used "disable", then it's only against one Yoshi. What about the rest? And, Yoshi could just use another move he has. "Disable" never stopped Pikachu in the Pokemon TV series, either. At least, not that I've seen.

what about kenisis?
also - you can train pokemon very high levels that could adventually be no match for yoshi. yoshi can't be level 100 to start out with, thats just stupid. you hatched a yoshi from an egg and fed it three things.
i dont know why i even bother -,-

red i read the first post,we're not deling with one yoshi, there are alot also what if the pokemon don't cooperate with each other, like you said, there are alot of pokemon elements, meaning one could accidentaly attack another. and YOSHI"S ARE NOT INVINCIBLE! I've said this twice now, they don't have has much limitations like pokemon do.
yoshi's limitations: mortal not much of a fighter can't survive in lava, spikes,or thorns
I'm not gonna list the pokemon's limitations and don't they add 150 to a new game(reigion)

Yoshi would gulp up the pokemon. Or he could ground pound them.

Yoshi would gulp up the pokemon. Or he could ground pound them. thats very convincing. that would destroy the whole race of pokemon. /sarcasm

Yeah, Red has a [/sarcasm] point. There's a bunch of Pokémon that are ungulpable, like Gyarados. Just 'cuz Yoshis could eat something 7 feet tall doesn't mean it could fit a 21-ft Gyarados in their stomach, much less their mouths.

Okay, I put Yoshi against Mewtwo (both the same level) in SSBM today, and Yoshi won by far. Mewtwo didn't stand a chance, and he's supposed to be one of the most powerful Pokemon. And for Snorlax: They just overrun him. And, he's hardly awake, so he won't do much attacking anyways.

i really dont think ssbm will help us here. theres many variables such as the level, items, etc. that must be judged.

No items, both level nine, the most ordinary course I could find (Final Destination). Hahaha, but when I played Mewtwo against the same Yoshi, I won.

...........................................................................................................................................................................................................................................*wakes up*AHHHHHHH!YES!!!!The pokemon have been defeated*shouts with glee*.Huh?What is everyone looking at?*slaps face*Hmmmm.....GAH!!Did I fall asleep again?Oh!The P. VS Y. thing.Well...........the items would be a problem for both characters. But if there were no items, In Ssbm fighting style the Yoshi would win.But in Pokemon style,it's fair game for both characters.
