the problem with that is in general, yoshis usually work solo, and pokemon mostly fight doubble, or in the show's case, together.

...Why does this topic exist? It's a pretty fruitless argument. Yoshi wouldn't be likely to fight with a Pokemon, they don't even live in the same frigging world! Really, can't you guys come up with a better way to spend your time than lame matchups between a horrible TV show and a peacefully cute dinosaur? Geeze!!! </angst>
Yoshi would win anyway, did you notice that he can't be defeated? (Yoshi's Island: Yoshi only loses a life if Baby Mario gets carried off or he falls down a hole.)

Wow thats a really good point  now that i think of it...yoshis story- only gets taken to BB's castle and not die// SMW1- runs away//thats all i can think of for now. |

If yoshi and a pokemon fight the yoshi would win...but pokemon usually travel in herds(I think).

I will never accept Pokemon Coliseum. No. Pokemon are not inherently evil, nor can they be made that way. Shadow Pokemon are lame.

Like LD said, Yoshis can do what they like, pokemon have to use thier super-power things. Yoshis are strong, flexible, and perfectly designed to fight when needed! XD

Good point so yoshi would prob win!!!!!! one hit ko attacks mean nothing. while pokemon are burrowed, minimized, in the air, etc. yoshi has a very hard chance to hit them. ok, sorry for bringing up colleseum. i thought the game was great. 3d pokemon battles? awsome! i still hope that a 3d pokemon game comes out where you can wade in tall grass to catch wild pokemon though. |

Pokemon Colluseum didn't seem that great, I'm glad I didn't buy it. I agree with you on the 3-D thing though, Red. Gimme a SSBM game and controller, then come back and tell me who would win XD |

wrong again red
pokemon games are in rpg style,in real time battle,yoshi has free movement to dodge attacks
burrowed: yoshi just needs to flutter jump out of the way and counter it
flying: a good egg toss has it attacks oughta hurt it
minimised: a stampied(how ever you spell it) can squish them flat
subsitute: those things never survive in anygame
